Welcome to the Leading for Change pilot Web site. As we continue building this site, our goal is to serve as an information source, idea exchange and resource that will spark area residents to make informed decisions that directly impact their lives and strengthen community development.

Resilient, thriving communities foster leaders who learn to bridge across groups and cultures. Many of these skills are built through the Advanced Leadership Institute. By strengthening networks among communities, we can improve economic growth and opportunities.
Outcomes already being seen through these collaborative efforts:
- Three area school districts meet quarterly to identify, explore and discuss current and future collaborative efforts between the districts.
- Nine south Wood County municipalities have collaborated to pay for a $29.5 million Transportation Investment Generating Economic Recovery (TIGER) grant application.
- Hundreds of residents have been trained in the Nine Tools of Civility through the Speak Your Peace civility campaign.
